Katie is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who has attended North Coast Church for the last 15 years. Katie received her Master’s in Counseling at Azusa Pacific University. Before graduate school, Katie spent 5 years on North Coast staff working closely with students and families. Since then, she’s continued to provide counseling for individuals and families in community based practice. Katie has experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, and families navigating a wide range of challenges. This experience includes helping individuals with communication, coping skills, relationship problems, life transitions, anxiety, depression, anger management, substance abuse, physical and sexual abuse, trauma, and more.

Katie understands the strength and vulnerability it takes to begin counseling and meets you with empathy and non judgment every step of the way. She utilizes a variety of evidenced-based therapy models and tailors therapy to meet the needs of each client. Some modalities utilized may include, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness based strategies, and Person-Centered Therapy. Katie builds genuine connections with each person and takes a holistic approach that nurtures mental, physical, and spiritual well-being to help find balance and healing.

When she’s not counseling, Katie loves spending quality time with her friends and family! She loves going out to eat, spending time outdoors (especially on the coast), and traveling to new places.
